There are certain things that big lens just won’t ever do. Like harvesting light from many sources and broadcasting it back to the film/chip in great planes.

Made with this little shit, Industar-50.

Croatia // fotky z Chorvátska, júú

Proof that five exposure times (1/30 - 1/500) + bulb should be enough for anyone.

I thought I was shooting color.

House demolition in Old Town. As seen wide.

Testing out Zenit 12 and new wide lens (Flektogon 2.8/20).

Now you can surely localize my home and steal my gear.

Favorite café/drinking place in Bratislava - café Kút // http://kut.prasnabasta.sk. The guy in the background is usually seen smoking and drinking his wine all alone, just watching people around, occasionally nodding as sign of affirmation of the discussion held at the table next to him.

Test roll from inherited Zenit 12.

To iba ja môžem byť taká j*****á, že si kúpim starý expozimeter, sice ultra-pro, ale starý, do ktorého je treba baterky, ktoré sa prestali vyrábať a náhrada nie je jednoduchá.

Aby potom mi ujo vo svete bateriek kreslí závislosti napätia od prúdu a so samozrejmosťou vysvetľoval impedanciu.

aka Urob to zložito.

Packing up some belongings, finally hoping to use my underwater camera (already expired and stored in warm envirnoment), with new baterries in Zenit camera (which has not been tested yet, but doesn’t show any signs of problem).

Milk + tuzemský um (slovak dark rum) and a pinch of sugar.

Came across this while checking photos & information about Orlia Perć (Orlia prť), supposedly the most difficult trail in High Tatras.

Sorting hundreds of photos is killing me.

Silver, golden. And 3 more.

Definitely worth a visit!

Decaying steam locomotives, freely accesible train cars and automobile converted into draisine. There’s a lot stuff to climb at!

Leaving for a 5 day trip to High Tatras!

All the photos from the roll came out well.

Without exposure meter, only using this table and estimation.

Usually, my previous slides were underexposed, so knowing my tendency to overestimate the amount of light, I’ve firstly made a guess and then added 1-2 EV, to correct for my overestimation.

That makes me a natural underexposer.

I’m jealous of my camera for seeing the world like this.
Lens induced hallucinations.

Click to see where does the hole lead.

Hasselblad 500C/M + Carl Zeiss Planar 80/2.8 + Fuji 160 NPC. No edit (the blueish flare on the left is absolutely natural blue flare usually found in forest).

We’re serious about parts.

Advertising slogan of http://shop.thefotogeeks.com.

I can’t believe I have just spent $27 on this… This has to stop!

But I need an eyecup.

Swing!

My Nikon FM2 has arrived. It looks like brand new, I’m even afraid to start using it. Not because of the money, but because of the fact there won’t be any more produced. I haven’t heard of any more reliable camera coupled with such lens compatibility and price than this one.

With more expensive gear it’s getting more difficult to carry the camera with me all the time, I’m nervous I’ll break or damage it somehow. It’s impossible to buy a whole camera cover, when I’m using variously sized lens. Universal cover is also a drag - putting the camera out of bag and cover takes time, so only way is with my Crumpler.

Now I have more gear than I can handle. It was much easier with Flexaret or cheap Canon noone would miss and with even cheaper lens.

The other thing is I’m so bad at taking care of the gear - after 3 years I’ve finaly bought some equipment for lens cleaning.

So this is a warning - if anything happens to the gear, it’s MY FAULT.

todo & remember notes:

  • get Flexaret & Canon to the repairman

  • get all my equip clean

  • ensure a proper non-dusty storage in the shelf

  • solve the exposure meter problem

  • don’t ever take any camera outdoors without soft & safe cover

And then they think it’s fun to throw bark at the camera.

But I don’t mind as long as it makes them smile.

Girls.

They decide to go out in skirt/dress and then complain about its disobedience.

The flare. It exists.

I’m not good at managing light, but I have many friends who want some shots!

Kika, trying to remember the name of botanical family of the plants in foreground (which is Daucaceae - nowadays Apiaceae). Also known as “okolík okolíkov”.

Tomorrow!

Filling up some memory cards, bringing piece of glass home and getting film developed, which is the hardest part since I’ve already seen in the viewfinder that it’s gonna be all wrong.
